School's History

Stonewall Elementary was named after Stonewall Estates, which was built on old Stonewall Farm. The school opened its doors in 1961, with two additions built in 1963 and 1965. It sits in the heart of the Stonewall neighborhood on a hill overlooking Stonewall Park's nature walk and creek. The hill is also home to the best tubing and sledding in Lexington! Our school was renovated in 1988-89 and again in 2014. (View latest renovations)
