Stonewall Elementary Families,
Thank you for your continued focus and dedication to the students at Stonewall Elementary.
As a follow-up to my initial email, we have now begun the search for the next principal at Stonewall Elementary. As it is important to keep you informed as we embark on this journey, I want to outline the process and the anticipated timeline.
November 6, 2023 - 5:00 Principal Profile Development Survey Form- Electronically-A Google link will be provided to families and stakeholders. The link will be open from: Monday, November 6th-Friday, November 10th
We will have input sessions – one for faculty & staff in person and then one for families and community partners electronically, using a Google document. I will conduct the in-person session at Stonewall Elementary in the media center with staff and I will monitor the electronic input submitted from parents, families, and community partners.
Projected Timeline:
Members of the interview committee will include representatives from the SBDM council. The SBDM council includes selected parents and school staff.
November 27th- December 1st: Applicant Review: The interview committee will review the principal profile of parents, staff, and qualified applicants.
December 4th- December 8th: Screening Interviews: The interview committee will meet to conduct candidate screening interviews.
December 11th-December 15th: Finalist Interviews with the Superintendent

Dear Families & Community Members of Stonewall Elementary,
This message officially informs you that we are beginning the critical process of choosing the next principal to serve Stonewall Elementary. Families and community partners play a critical role in the success of all students, and we need your thoughts and participation to help us find the right person to lead Stonewall Elementary into the future.
As a part of the principal selection process, we will be seeking your input to build the principal profile that will guide our search. The process will also include gathering input from teachers and staff at the school. I encourage you and all the stakeholders of Stonewall Elementary to take an active role in sharing goals and objectives for the school and identifying the attributes and characteristics you would like the next leader to possess.
Recognizing that everything rises and falls on effective leadership, choosing the next instructional and transformational leader for Stonewall Elementary is critical to ensuring student success. As the superintendent designee for Stonewall Elementary, I will lead the principal selection process. Every student deserves an excellent and equitable education provided by a highly effective staff and effective instructional leader.
I will provide more details about the process, including a tentative timeline and opportunities for public input next week. The principal position was posted today, and the application window will be open until Monday, October 30th.
